Broke Bridge

A friend of mine, Quentin Young, who I used to work with back at the Longmont Times-Call, contacted me a few months ago to shoot some video of his band, Broke Bridge. They had a awesomely long set at Cervantes' Other Side in Denver and actually initiated my appreciation for bluegrass music, or as they prefer to call it, "grass 'n' roll."

I created a video like this of many of their songs from the evening, but here are a few for you to enjoy. If you ever get a chance to check this band out live, I highly suggest you do!

SF Outside Lands

San Fransisco's Outside Lands Music Festival this year featured everyone from Paul McCartney to the Red Hot Chili Peppers to Pretty Lights and Vampire Weekend. Not to mention, the crowd was just as diverse and fascinating.  As a photog without a photo pass, I may or may not have snuck my equipment in to cover the weekend's events...What's life without a little risk? Here's a few highlights.

Harlem Shake Hope Hummus

Hey Everyone! I know it's been...just about 2 years since I was on this thing. I know you missed me, but I am back, and with some exciting news! I have started working with a natural foods company called Hope Hummus on their creative/marketing team. It's been really fun and is teaching me a lot. I've also decided to ramp it up with a new website and am putting a lot of effort towards jumpstarting my "career" as Morgan Varon Media...But more on that later. For now, as an ice-breaker and a welcome back to blogging, I would like to share with you a ridiculous video that I made for Hope. We decided to hop on the band-wagon with the Harlem Shake internet sensation and make a version of our own. We are trying to go viral here, so you know, share this thing with all your friends. Or as we like to say, "Spread it like Hummus."
